Laser Engraving on Perfume Bottles: What to Know
Share
Before buying an engraved fragrance, most people ask the same question: what is laser engraving, and does it actually hold up?
What laser engraving is
A laser removes a thin, precise layer from the glass surface along the inscription path, leaving a permanently frosted mark.
It’s not printing on the bottle or cutting deeply into the glass — it’s a controlled, permanent change to the glass surface itself.
What the result looks like
The engraving appears frosted — lighter than the surrounding bottle, with a texture that catches light differently.
- On dark bottles → the contrast is clear and elegant
- On lighter glass → the texture remains visible and legible
Does it affect the fragrance?
No. The laser works only on the exterior glass.
The:
- seal
- liquid
- spray mechanism
remain completely unaffected.
Is it permanent?
Yes. The inscription becomes part of the glass itself — not a coating.
It will not:
- scratch off
- wash away
- fade with normal handling
How long does it take?
Standard orders process in 1–2 business days before shipping.
